DC Shorts Film Festival

Venues

DC Shorts will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people who are differently able to have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of our programs, services, and activities. DC Shorts utilizes venues that comply with ADA regulations for the welfare of our patrons. For example, individuals with service animals are welcomed at all event screenings, even where pets are generally prohibited.

E STREET CINEMA

Corner of 11th and E Streets NW, Washington, DC

The Penn Quarter (downtown) neighborhood of DC has become the entertainment jewel of the city, filled with theaters, museums, clubs and restaurants for all to enjoy.

Metro

The theater is located 2 blocks from the Metro Center station and 4 blocks from the Gallery Place station. This area is also served by Circulator buses at stops within blocks of the theater.

In the heart of Penn Quarter, the U.S. Navy Memorial Heritage Center’s 240-seat theater offers pristine HD projection and unparalleled sound.

Metro/Walking

The U.S. Navy Memorial is located above the Archives/Penn Quarter Metro station. Exit the station, turn right and follow the curve of the sidewalk until you see the entrance. You must enter from the Plaza — there is no access from 7th Street. The theater is also served by the Circulator bus.

ATLAS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The Atlas Performing Arts Center brings people together through the arts to create, connect and engage through compelling performances, events and initiatives spanning a range of artistic expressions, traditions and cultures. The Atlas is where the arts, culture and connection happen on H Street

Metro

The Union Station Metro Stop is the closest Metrorail station. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk from the Metro.

Walking from Union Station:

Head east on Massachusetts Avenue, go around around Stanton Park, then continue east on Maryland Avenue NE. Turn left on 13th Street NE. Turn right on H Street NE and the Atlas will be on your right.

The Atlas is accessible to patrons with impaired mobility and offers wheelchair locations for each performance. Additionally, the Atlas has a limited number of assisted listening devices for its performances.
